QUARTAS-500s is aspirating smoke detectors especially developed for small area very early warning fire detection by AVA prevent.
Most early warning fire detection product claimed a very high sensitivity smoke detector to protect a large area; while QUARTAS-500 is aiming at protecting proper size of area. In fact, because of the nature of the aspirating smoke detection, the bigger the detection area is the less sensitive the system becomes. In order to provide very early warning fire detection in a large area application, the alarm threshold of the detector must be set to very sensitive and is closed to environment background smoke level. This makes the system very easy to have unwanted or false alarms.
The prefer detection zone size of QUARTAS-500 is only about one quarter of that of the popular product on market (typically 2000m2 like QUARTAS-2000); while it provides much better performance of very early fire detection and better ability immune to false/unwanted alarms.
AVA uses high power, short wavelength blue LED as the detection light source. It is very sensitive to small smoke particles generated during the incipient stage of a fire, at which time the some is invisible to human eyes. The highest alarm sensitivity of AVA high sensitivity smoke detector is 0.005%/m, which is 1000 times more sensitive to conventional point type smoke detector
